Job Description – Java Backend Developer (5+ Years)

Experience: 5+ Years
Role: Java Backend Developer / Senior Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Java .
Develop and enhance microservices-based applications using Spring Boot and Spring Framework .
Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems.
Participate in application design, technical discussions, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
Develop applications following clean coding, SOLID principles, design patterns, and industry best practices .
Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases and optimize database queries.
Implement appropriate exception handling, logging, monitoring, and application security .
Develop unit and integration tests and maintain good code coverage.
Work with CI/CD pipelines and support deployments across different environments.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment .

Mandatory Technical Skills

5+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience
Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17+ , including Collections, Streams, Lambda Expressions, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Concurrency
Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC
Strong experience in Microservices architecture and development
Strong experience designing and consuming REST APIs
Experience with Spring Data JPA / Hibernate
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and data structures
Experience with JUnit, Mockito , or similar testing frameworks
Experience with Maven or Gradle
Working knowledge of Git
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex backend/production issues
