We are located in the heart of Albuquerque on the 3rd floor of Gibson Medical Center. Position Overview Full‑time Registered Nurses (RN) for day shifts with ICU/step‑down experience required. Ability to communicate with physicians, CCO/co‑workers, and others about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long‑term acute care setting. Manage respiratory failure requiring ventilation, vapor‑therm, high‑flow, BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula. Handle sedation/pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti‑arrhythmic management. Treat complicated infections requiring long‑term IV antibiotics. Treat chronic non‑healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes. Communicate with physicians and staff regarding patient status changes and management. Shift differential paid for all night and weekend shifts. Job Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico. Acute care experience is preferred. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification. Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
