Reporting to the President/CEO, the Director of Development’s primary responsibility entails leading all fundraising and external engagement activities and building a diversified revenue strategy to significantly increase philanthropic support.The successful candidate will be a builder, strategist, and fundraiser who is excited by the opportunity to create a lasting impact for thousands of young people. Grow annual philanthropic revenue through major gifts, foundations, corporations, government partnerships, events, and individual giving. · Partner with Board Chair and Development Committee to strengthen board fundraising capacity. · Identify and cultivate high net worth individuals capable of transformational support. · Oversee donor database management, prospect research and fundraising systems. · Lead development planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurements. · Assist in maintaining RYC profile up to date on donor facing websites (e.g., Demonstrated success securing major gifts, foundation grants, and corporate support. · Excellent relationship-building and networking skills. · Knowledge of donor management platforms such as Salesforce, Bloomerang, Raiser’s Edge, etc. · Passion for youth development, educational equity, and community impact.
