Heavy Equipment Mechanic Pay: $30.00–$40.00/hour DOE Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Some on-call work required) Location: Shreveport, LA 71109 Benefits: Full Benefits Package #SHLA Our client is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Shreveport, LA. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues on heavy equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine servicing. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and repair manuals. Repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulic components, brakes, and other major systems. Maintain accurate service records and document completed repairs. Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards. Respond to occasional after-hours or on-call service needs as required. Keep the shop and work area clean, organized, and safe. Qualifications Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic is required . Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostics. Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently. Experience working on construction or industrial equipment preferred. Valid driver's license preferred. Must have your own basic mechanic's tools. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment. Strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to safety.
