Maintenance Technician

Job TitleEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, test, install and repair equipment, parts, and systems in an industrial/manufacturing environment.Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Working knowledge of Electrical Codes, OSHA and standard industry safety rules/regulations.Perform prescribed Preventative Maintenance according to continuous improvement processesMaintain accurate and complete records, document all work performed appropriately.Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels to Supervisor.Maintain accurate daily repair logs and KPIs.Operate grinder, welder and other metalworking tools to fabricate and assemble parts as neededAdhere to continuous improvement and root cause analysis practicesTroubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctionsDiagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replace defective parts.Adhere to good housekeeping practices.Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.Adhere to good housekeeping practices.RequirementsAbility to read and understand blue prints, schematics, and work instructionsUnderstanding failure mechanisms, ability to isolate determine root cause and repair.Ability to work 2nd shiftProblem-solving skills, team oriented and detailed orientedMinimum two years' of relevant experience and or/ training that includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems equipment, HVAC maintenance, or any equivalent skills, and abilities for this position is preferred.Ability to pass standardized maintenance aptitude testAbility to pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screenAssociate's degree preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredWhat We OfferA commitment that Safety is #1Competitive benefits, pay, and retirement plan options!Career growth, stability, and flexible work arrangements.Responsible Manufacturing – Protecting Our Planet for the FutureWe utilize renewable energy and a closed loop recycled water process.We are committed to reducing greenhouse emissions and water consumption.We are the only flooring company recognized by the Asthma and Allergy foundation.Who We AreWith a history of more than 140 years, Tarkett is a worldwide leader in innovative and sustainable flooring and sport surface solutions, generating turnover of €3.3 billion in 2025.
