Purpose of Position
This position plans and administers training and training programs to IDVR team members to enhance competencies based on team member job duties. Identifies training needs. Plans, organizes, develops, and delivers training statewide to IDVR team members. Supports program operations by promoting and providing technical assistance on specific issues as identified by Agency leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Training Manager:
Partner with the training team, Operations Support Center, and Field Leadership to identify skill gaps, define training needs, and set priorities
Design, and develop in-person and virtual training programs, including curricula, materials, and learning objectives
Deliver training to Agency staff through in-person sessions and digital platforms, both individually and in group settingsvaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content to align with Agency needs and federal VR program requirements
Maintain electronic training records and monitor employee progress toward completion of required training
Interpret and incorporate State and federal laws, policies, and procedures into training content to ensure compliance
Provide education and outreach to community partners, including vendors, schools, and stakeholders
Represent the Agency at meetings, conferences, and Communities of Practice
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (MQs):
Considerable knowledge of Vocational Rehabilitation program roles and key responsibilities typically gained by at least five (5) years of experience working in a state VR program
Demonstrated ability to deliver training informally or formally to meet specific outcomes
Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate technical and specialized material into information usable by Agency employees with diverse backgrounds and educational levels
Demonstrated working knowledge of effective use of Office 365 suite to complete work duties
Demonstrated experience scheduling, hosting, and facilitating virtual meetings for groups in a business environment.
Good experience performing regular job duties in a team environment
Ability and willingness to travel on a frequent basis, including extended overnight stays as part of regular job duties
MQs Specialties:
Good knowledge regarding review and revision of training procedures and materials in a team environment, developing training materials in a team environment, typically gained by at least two years of experience engaged in this work
Good knowledge reviewing and revising procedures and training materials in a team environment, typically gained by at least two years of experience engaged in this work
Good knowledge of how to develop written and visual training materials, typically gained by at least two years of experience engaged in this work
Proficient in navigating and using the Aware Case Management System
Some experience using Power B.I.
Some experience using a learning management system (LMS) to administer and track training
Some experience researching, analyzing, and compiling information including facts and statistics to compile reports and recommendation
