Job Description: The Corporate Accountant is a key member of the Corporate Finance team responsible for advanced accounting functions, accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and process improvements across a fast-growing, multi-location healthcare organization. This role serves as a subject matter expert within the accounting department and partners closely with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Billing, and other finance teams while helping manage the corporate accounting function. Key Responsibilities: Month-End Close & Financial Reporting Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Manage complex accounting areas including revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and prepaid expenses. Assist with consolidated financial statements for 400+ operating locations. Investigate and resolve financial variances and discrepancies. Financial Analysis & Support Analyze financial trends, margins, and branch performance. Partner with operations and finance leadership to explain results and identify opportunities for improvement. Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate historical reporting. Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain strong internal controls and support audit initiatives. Assist with documenting and improving accounting processes. Support compliance with federal, state, and healthcare regulatory requirements. Intercompany & Multi-Location Support Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations. Support branch-level accounting questions from payroll and billing teams. Partner with the Finance Data & Systems team on automation and data integrity initiatives. Audit & External Reporting Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors, tax preparers, and lenders. Assist with lender reporting, covenant calculations, and year-end audit requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred. 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or multi-location healthcare experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial close processes, and internal controls. Experience with multi-entity organizations (100-400+ locations preferred). Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage Intacct, or NetSuite. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Frequent computer use and typing. Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds regularly (up to 50 pounds as needed). Work Environment Fast-paced corporate office environment. Frequent interaction with employees across multiple departments. Regular phone and computer use. May involve exposure to standard office equipment and healthcare office environments.
