Mechanical Design Engineer

We focus on precision instrumentation and automation equipment and have our own fabrication shop, machine design group, controls group, and panel shop. We are seeking a full-time mechanical engineer with experience in machine design, build, and testing of mechanical/electrical equipment. The candidate will be responsible for working with our growing team in the design of 3D Solidworks solid models, working with manufacturing vendors, and running diagnostics and testing of machines assembled and built at our company. Learn more about our mechanical engineering capabilities and the types of systems we build: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. 3-5 years of experience after university in engineering design, manufacturing processes, and/or R&D engineering with Solidworks CAD Programming experience is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Strong Solidworks CAD experience Experience conducting engineering tests, prototype development, and design validation. Experience designing electro‑mechanical systems and assemblies is a plus. Broad understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and design for manufacturability. Experience working with sensors, actuators, motion systems, or instrumentation hardware. Basic programming experience using Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar engineering tools is a plus. Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams consisting of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers. Interest in advanced technology, automation, instrumentation, scientific equipment, and engineering innovation. Hands‑on experience diagnosing and troubleshooting electro‑mechanical systems. Strong analytical, experimental, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently while contributing within a multidisciplinary engineering team. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
