Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit - 12 Hour Nights

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Stepdown Unit. This position offers a unique opportunity to care for patients with various cardiac conditions, including heart failure and post-cardiac surgery. You will be part of a dedicated team providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a stepdown unit, monitoring and managing cardiac patients.
• Titrate intravenous drips including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Cardizem, Nicardipine, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Dobutamine.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting system.
• Support nursing assistants and other staff in delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Cardiac nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to read telemetry strips; experience with Phillips monitoring systems is a plus.

Schedule:

This is a night shift position, requiring 12-hour shifts on weekends and holidays as scheduled. The typical schedule includes three to four weekend shifts, two Fridays, and two Mondays within a four-week period. A holiday commitment includes one evening and one day holiday per year.
