Diesel Technician

Position Description Ryder is hiring an experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Buford, Georgia — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a Technician career you can feel good about. To become a Ryder employee you must: Obtain CDL within 6 months after hire Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Responsibilities Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties Perform standard vehicle maintenance Perform standard component inspections and repairs Perform preventive maintenance Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required Replace defective components as instructed Perform facility maintenance duties Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints once assigned a task Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available Work in accordance with all federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT) Perform other support duties as required to support operations, including but not limited to Service Island support Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and drug‑free workplace.
