Job Details As a member of our team, you will provide specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centered care while receiving competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Summary The NICU Registered Nurse delivers advanced neonatal assessments, operates life‑support equipment, and provides family‑centered education and support. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and adheres to hospital, state, and regulatory standards. Essential Work Functions Assess and monitor critically ill and premature newborns, documenting conditions and responses. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved neonatal nursing techniques. Perform neonatal assessments, including vital signs, weight checks, and specialized screenings. Operate and manage advanced NICU equipment such as ventilators, CPAP machines, and infusion pumps. Assist with life‑saving and diagnostic procedures, including umbilical line placement and intubation. Educate and support parents on neonatal care, feeding techniques, and developmental care. Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and procedures. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Adhere to infection control measures and safety protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize neonatal outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification. Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification. Preferred Qualifications Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Certification (RNC‑NIC). PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification. Additional certifications and licenses as required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills. Physical stamina to remain in a stationary position and move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend. Ability to work effectively with professionals and ancillary personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism. Fine motor skills for procedures and equipment use.
