Your expertise will serve schools in the Adrian and Tecumseh areas, where you'll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive learning environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Background in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Experience implementing academic and behavioral interventions
- Strong understanding of current best practices in special education
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to develop and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct support through counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Consult with families regarding assessment results, resources, and progress
- Assist with system-wide prevention and response efforts as needed across multiple school sites
