Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Operating Room (OR) services. This role involves providing high-quality surgical care within a dynamic healthcare environment. The candidate will be expected to take on varied shifts, participate in on-call requirements, and demonstrate proficiency in surgical procedures.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): EPIC
• Patient Population: Serves all ages

Position Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the surgical setting.
• Assist with the preoperative and postoperative care of patients.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage surgical equipment and maintain a sterile environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an OR setting
• Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and CPI/HWC certifications required
• Preferred Experience: Robotics experience and charge experience; Level 1 trauma experience is a plus
• Common Procedures: Ortho, Gyn, OB, Plastics, General, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Urology, Breast, Podiatry.

Work Environment

The candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to various shifts, including weekends and off-hours. Call requirements include being available one to two times per week in 8-hour increments.

Dress Code

Uniforms will be provided; scrub colors required are blue. Casual wear is not permitted.

• Candidate must have complete and clear screenings prior to the start of the position.
• All required fingerprints and clearances must be submitted before candidate clearance.
