RN - SNF

Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced RN for our Skilled Nursing units. The candidate must have an education verification, a current WI License, and CPR certification. The traveler may be asked to float to other in-patient units due to census. This position is a 0.9 FTE day shift from 0630 to 1900. It requires working every third weekend and participating in a holiday rotation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Employs critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and escalates concerns to the appropriate chain of command.
