Salary: $24.16 - $27.40/hr** *Hourly rate is inclusive of a $1.00/hr. salary stipend and a $1.00/hr. direct care stipend. Applicants with Certified Nursing Assistant ("CNA") certificates, and who are on the State's CNA registry, will be paid an additional $.50/hour. Employees in this job classification begin at Step 5 of the pay scale. Starting salary for promotional candidates will follow contractual requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in mental health and who are registered on the State of Maine's CNA register and have a valid Maine driver's license. Agency information: Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center (DDPC) is a 69-bed psychiatric hospital serving the entire State of Maine that provides services for people with severe mental illness. As a member of a statewide community of care givers, DDPC collaborates with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, their community and personal supports, to provide recovery-oriented, respectful, compassionate, and effective psychiatric care and treatment in the least restrictive, safest, and most therapeutic environment we can create. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is dedicated to promoting health, safety, resilience, and opportunity for Maine people. The Department provides health and social services to approximately a third of the State's population, including children, families, older Mainers, and individuals with disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders. The Department also promotes public health, operates two state psychiatric hospitals, and provides oversight to health care providers. - Additional shift differential .50¢/hour while working 2nd shift hours
- Additional shift differential .60¢/hour while working 3rd shift hours
- Additional weekend differential $.65/hour while working weekend hours
