About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years for travelers; will consider those with 1.5 years if they have strong large hospital experience. License: Any active state RN or compact license accepted Certifications: ARRT or NMTCB; BLS certification required Must-Have: Experience with Siemens scanners Cardiac experience is a major plus Experience with IV starts strongly preferred Description: Travelers' permanent address must be over 100 miles from the facility to be eligible to apply. The position involves working nights with a schedule of 3 shifts per week. Every third weekend and holidays may be required as assigned. Call duties will include 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend call every 12 weeks. The unit has two 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners and performs neuro, musculoskeletal, and abdominal scans. Specialty exams include breast imaging and enterography. Scans for patients with pacemakers are also performed. There will be no cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, or MSA extremities performed. An MRI-safe ventilator and MRI-safe equipment are available for ICU patients. Conscious sedation is not performed in this unit. The facility employs an EPIC EMR system. The standard attire is charcoal grey scrubs. Daily census includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The daily number of room visits is approximately 40. There are 3 rooms available for MRI procedures and a total of 380 beds in the facility. Support services include IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams. Staffing and scheduling will require adherence to patient ratios and weekend coverage, with maximum 10 days requested time off during the contract. Attendance requirements will be strictly enforced, with a focus on maintaining a positive work environment.
