Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance that caters to both our staff and patients. Our telehealth model ensures that our clinicians have access to cutting-edge technology and platforms to deliver high-quality care efficiently. The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some flexibility may be required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to determine patients' trauma history and tailor effective treatment approaches.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize recovery, empowerment, and resilience-building in patients.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and recovery.

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through coping strategies that promote processing of trauma.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic treatment for all patients.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and appropriate care.

  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, fostering a better understanding of their mental health challenges.

  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring patient privacy and safety.

  • Engage in continuous professional development by participating in case consultations, team meetings, and staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population of clients impacted by various forms of trauma. Our focus is on providing tailored mental health services that address the complexities associated with trauma recovery. Counselors must be prepared to guide clients through their healing journeys, offering significant emotional support during challenging times.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • Must possess a current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating competence in trauma-focused therapy techniques.

  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and the ability to apply trauma-informed treatment modalities effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately.

  • A proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team atmosphere.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $104,000 annually, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
