Maintenance Assistant

Susanna Wesley Health Center 1. Ensures that residents are treated with dignity, kindness and respect, maintains residents’ privacy and confidentiality and adheres to residents bill of rights at all times. 2. Receives and follows maintenance schedules/instructions as outlined for respective shift of area. 3. Performs routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc. by cutting, trimming, sweeping, etc. as necessary. 4. Performs routine maintenance and repair on building and equipment including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc. as needed. 5. Cleans windows, screens and all high and hard to reach areas as needed. 6. Replaces all burnt out-light bulbs including exit lights, overhead lights, room-call lights, fluorescent lights, etc. as needed. 7. Services cooling and heating units/systems as specified by manufacturer and as needed. 8. Performs special projects as assigned by supervisor. 9. Maintains general plant, facility and equipment in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment. 10. Reports all incidents/accidents to supervisor immediately and in the shift in which they occur. 11. Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to supervisor immediately and eliminates the hazard from the public area. 12. Maintains work/assignment areas free of hazardous conditions, clean and orderly and properly cleans and stores equipment prior to leaving such work area. 13. Ensures that established precautionary policies are followed at all times. 14. Participates in ongoing Inservice education and training as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
