Assistant Director Of NursingAn Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing in managing and directing resident care within the nursing department to maintain resident standards of care and ensure that each resident functions at his/her highest level.Position Responsibilities of an ADON:Assists in the coordination of resident care through departmental and appropriate staff committee meetingsEnsures that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirementsGuides nursing department in adherence to all state and federal regulationsEvaluates nursing personnel and affectively recommends disciplinary action according to HCF policyCompletes duties of Infection Control Nurse (PA)Ensures availability of nursing supplies and equipmentAssumes responsibility for maintaining his/her own professional competenceEvaluates overall delivery of resident careKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. Current license as a Registered Nurse with the State Board of Nursing.
