Immunization Education & Outreach Coordinator VISTA

Overview Immunization Education & Outreach Coordinator VISTA is a year-long AmeriCorps VISTA assignment with Immunize Colorado (Colorado Immunity Corps). The role partners with local public health agencies and community organizations to promote access to primary care and improve vaccination rates through community-based clinics, education, and outreach events. Member Duties Develop partnerships with key community partners such as healthcare providers, pharmacies, school health personnel, community-based organizations, and local public health professionals. Recruit medical professionals, volunteers, and subject matter experts to support immunization outreach and education events. Create and promote marketing materials for event-specific audiences. Understand and assess community needs and reevaluate or implement interventions. Attend required trainings and program team meetings. Conduct follow-up activities for clinic and educational events. Develop a community-specific framework for immunization stakeholder engagement. Support immunization data activities for local public health agencies. Occasional miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications Applicants should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as on a team. Prior expertise in vaccination is NOT required.
