Be Well Primary Health Care Center, LLC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Pain Management team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art Surgical Center located in Clayton, New York. Your role will encompass providing comprehensive general and preventative care to patients suffering from chronic pain, effectively working alongside our multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite at our fully equipped Surgical Center, which is designed to facilitate advanced treatments for pain management within a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. The center is outfitted with the latest medical technology and resources, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients. You will enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, which provides work-life balance while allowing you to focus on developing your clinical skills in a fulfilling environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations through the collection of comprehensive histories and physical examinations, identifying all relevant health concerns.
• Implement evidence-based patient management plans, including formulating differential diagnoses and coordinating referrals to specialists as needed.
• Perform routine and complex health assessments, monitoring patients' responses to treatments and making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, responding swiftly to any results indicating the need for further care or intervention.
• Deliver preventive health measures, including vaccinations, screenings, and educational counseling on health maintenance and lifestyle modifications.
• Facilitate open communication with patients regarding their treatment options, empowering them to actively engage in their recovery process.
• Document all patient interactions in an electronic health record system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with health regulations.
• Maintain current knowledge of pain management techniques and treatment modalities to provide the best possible care for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve direct interaction with a diverse patient population, including adults and children suffering from various forms of chronic pain. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with patients, understanding their individual pain management needs, and working diligently to improve their quality of life. Your ability to assess psychosocial factors will be crucial in formulating comprehensive care plans that address both the physical and emotional aspects of pain.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• An active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license to practice in New York.
• At least 2 - 3 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in pain management or a closely related field.
• Exceptional multitasking skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex medical information clearly to patients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care with a focus on building rapport and trust.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with pain management techniques and therapies, such as opioid management, physical therapy referrals, and alternative therapies.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth modalities.
• Knowledge of relevant medical regulations and compliance standards related to pain management.

Compensation and Benefits

We are pleased to offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to the salary, our benefits package includes:
