Support Associate, AVH Inpatient Rehab / SEIU - J

This position is anticipated to be filled towards the end of 2025 as part of the expansion of Acute Inpatient Rehab at Allegheny Valley. The expansion will create a consolidated unit of 29 inpatient rehabilitation beds at AVH and will be equipped with advanced equipment and technologies to support cutting-edge rehabilitation care.

General Overview

Performs physical therapy treatment under the supervision of physical therapist or physical therapy assistant.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provides physical support during physical therapy treatment interventions. (30%)
• Provides direct patient care for transport to and from physical therapy treatments. (10%)
• Performs specific skills to assist the physical therapist or physical therapy assistant in carrying out a treatment plan. (20%)
• Maintains equipment used in physical therapy interventions. (20%)
• Performs clerical duties as assigned. (20%)

Qualifications

Minimum

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
