Tool Room Machinist
Are you an experienced machinist looking for a steady Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends? Put your CNC and manual machining skills to work in a hands-on tool room environment where you’ll produce precision components, work from detailed prints, and have the opportunity to expand your skills with EDM equipment.
Position – Tool Room Machinist
Job Location – Cadott, WI
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Long-Term
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 1st or 2nd Shift
• 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
Starting Pay – $28.50-$29.50 per hour
Required Education – High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Required Experience – 1+ year of machining experience needed preferably in a manufacturing setting
As a Machinist II , you will work in a tool room environment operating CNC machining equipment, Bridgeport CNC mills, manual lathes, drill presses, and other fabrication equipment. You’ll use prints and engineering documents to produce accurate parts while maintaining high standards for quality and safety. EDM experience is a plus, but training can be provided.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication specifications
- Set up and operate CNC machining equipment
- Operate Bridgeport CNC mills, manual lathes, drill presses, and related equipment
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, and other precision measuring tools
- Perform fabrication processes using manual presses and mills
- Deburr and polish finished components
- Review engineering documents and accurately duplicate specifications during fabrication
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized CNC/tool room area
- Follow established safety procedures when operating machining equipment
- Complete assignments independently while also contributing as part of the team
Qualifications
- Previous machining experience, preferably 1+ year
- Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment
- Knowledge of manual machining equipment and processes
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering documentation
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- EDM experience is a plus, but not required
