James A. Wheat & Sons, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Plumber Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience and training in the plumbing industry. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced plumbers, assisting in tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. Responsibilities- Assist licensed plumbers in the installation and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Learn to diagnose plumbing issues and apply basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols while on job sites.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Help keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Attend training sessions and participate in educational opportunities to enhance plumbing skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in plumbing or related fields is a plus.
- Strong desire to learn and develop skills in plumbing.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with using tools.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
