Quality Assurance Supervisor
$74.88k - $93.6kWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our plant's quality and food safety programs. In this role, you will oversee daily QA lab operations, manage a team of technicians, and ensure strict compliance with FDA regulations, USDA guidelines, and SQF/BRC standards. You will serve as the primary driver for continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and sanitation validation across our processing lines.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and schedule the daily activities of the QA technician team.
- Maintain and enforce HACCP, PCQI, GMP, and Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP).
- Manage internal and third-party food safety audits (SQF, BRC, FDA).
- Oversee hold-and-release protocols, corrective actions (CAPA), and root-cause investigations.
- Partner with Production and Operations teams to maintain high quality standards without sacrificing line efficiency.
- 5+ years of QA supervisory experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and GFSI frameworks (SQF or BRC certification preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred. If you do not have a degree then you must have stron experience working in the dairy field.
- Proven ability to lead team members and manage audit preparation under pressure.

Regulatory Compliance & Audits
- Oversees HACCP/HARPC programs and verifies Critical Control Points (CCPs).
- Leads readiness for regulatory inspections (FDA, USDA) and third-party audits (SQF, BRCGS).
- Maintains detailed documentation for sanitation, batch release, and traceability.
- Enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Manages sampling for allergen testing, environmental swabbing, and microbiological lab checks.
- Executes root cause analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) during product deviations.
- Supervises and trains QA technicians and line inspectors across production shifts.
- Inspects incoming raw ingredients and reviews supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Partners with Operations and Production to minimize waste while ensuring high product quality.
