Medical Technician

Job Duties

Perform a variety of established procedures and tests within the core laboratory section.

Review results of routine work for technical accuracy or obvious errors.

Correlate laboratory data with quality control, clinical or other laboratory data to validate test results and procedures.

Train new employees, students, reservists and others to perform technical and procedural aspects within their realm of responsibility.

Operate the clinical analyzers and other equipment of the section according to manufacturer's recommendations and existing departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
