Purpose & Scope:
The physician plays a vital role within the healthcare team, collaborating with other professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services to patients. Each physician's practice scope is established by the credentialing and privileging committee of the health system.

The physician is responsible for supporting organizational objectives, budgetary goals, and performance metrics at an individual level.

This role encompasses all medical activities at the individual level, including the implementation of quality control standards, risk management, and compliance initiatives. The primary duty of the physician is to provide timely, high-quality clinical care to patients who have chosen our organization.

Education:
  • A Doctorate from an accredited medical institution is mandatory.
Experience:
  • A minimum of one year of medical or surgical experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure:
  • Must be licensed to practice medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

  • Being capable of performing Basic Life Support components if necessary.
Working Conditions:

Patient Care:
The work setting is typically well-lit and ventilated, though it may be subject to frequent interruptions and long hours, including changing shifts. Employees may be required to work beyond standard hours, including overtime or on-call duties. There is routine exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, hazardous chemicals, and other potential risks. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided for instances of exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious processes. Interaction with patients, family members, colleagues, and visitors may occur under various conditions, including those that are emotionally charged or hostile.

Compensation Range:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $250,000.00 to $552,240.00 . In addition to the base salary, our organization offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage (subject to eligibility). Additional wellness and retirement benefits are also available to support employees and their families.

The compensation for this role, whether presented as an annual salary or hourly rate, is determined based on various legitimate, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications, relevant training and experience, skill level, shift differentials (if applicable), internal equity, and current market conditions.

The stated compensation range is a good-faith estimate of the minimum and maximum salary for this position. Actual compensation will be influenced by specialty, education, training, skills, experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications. This range may be adjusted in the future based on business needs or market changes. Compensation is only considered earned once vested and determined according to applicable policies and benefit plans. The availability and amount of bonuses, incentives, or other benefits are subject to the terms of those plans and may be modified at the discretion of the organization, in compliance with applicable laws.
