Day/evening shift from 06:30 AM to 03:00 PM or 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM; variable. Takes call as needed, usually once a week and every 6th weekend.
/n/nJob Description/n
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the GI department is a professional caregiver responsible for providing high-quality care to a designated group of patients. The RN utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with other healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
/n/nResponsibilities/n
/n- Perform ongoing assessment and data collection focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status of patients./n- Analyze assessment data to determine appropriate nursing diagnoses./n- Formulate and prioritize goal-directed plans of care based on nursing diagnoses and expected patient outcomes./n- Implement care knowledgeably and consistently./n- Document patient care accurately and timely./n- Evaluate effectiveness of care and outcomes regularly./n- Participate in emergency response situations, following established protocols./n- Maintain a strong, ethical approach in all aspects of patient care./n- Engage in continuous professional development and collaborate with healthcare team members./n
/n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n
/n- Active RN license in the relevant state./n- Endoscopy training or experience preferred./n- Current certifications, including BLS and ACLS, as per facility requirements./n
