Auto Underwriter IIJoin our dynamic team as an Auto Underwriter II, where you can work from the comfort of your home.As an Underwriter II in Chase Auto Indirect Originations Underwriting, you will review policy and pricing exceptions, support daily underwriting operations, and make timely credit decisions that help us serve dealers and customers responsibly. You will work with us to structure decisions that balance strong returns with long-term relationship health, while meeting clear expectations for response time, throughput, and decision quality. You will contribute to targets for return on equity, volume, and conversion metrics by applying sound judgment and consistent risk discipline. You will also help us strengthen partnerships by initiating proactive outreach and providing prompt, accurate responses to internal and external inquiries. You will join a team that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement in how we deliver decisions.Job responsibilities:Review credit applications and render the appropriate credit decision within credit policy requirements and in compliance with all regulationsReview policy and/or pricing exceptions and assist in daily operationsStructure decisions to maximize profit and enhance relationshipsReview and approve automobile applications submitted by our clients, placing an emphasis on response time, quantity of applications processed, and quality of applications approvedMeet or exceed agreed upon targets for return on equity, volume, conversion ratios, and other business metricsInitiate sales calls via telephone, and where appropriate, prepare written follow-upProvide prompt, accurate responses to all internal and external customer inquiriesRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills:2+ years of credit experience, with Auto Finance experienceExperience reviewing credit bureau reportsHighly skilled in credit decisioning, solid understanding of consumer credit and applicable federal and state regulations relative to consumer lendingComprehensive knowledge of indirect loan and lease programs, bank products, and servicesPC literate with a good working knowledge of common application softwareExpert knowledge of credit philosophy and policies, loan documentation, and related legal issues.Thorough knowledge of the Bank's policies and procedures, as well as its products and their inherent risks.Superior analytical skills supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills.Results-oriented with a high level of personal initiative and proven leadership abilityDemonstrated judgment and ability to act decisivelyPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:Sales experience preferredThe hours are Monday-Friday 11am-8pm w/Rotating Saturday'sAbout UsChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
