Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a high-volume operating room environment averaging 35–50 cases per day with turnover expectations under 20 minutes
• Provide direct perioperative nursing care across multiple service lines including cardiac/peripheral vascular, neurology, orthopedic trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci robotic systems, Stealth neuro-navigation, and Synthes/Stryker orthopedic trauma instrumentation
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within a 16-suite OR environment, with 12–14 suites running routinely and dedicated trauma capacity as a Level I Trauma Center
• Participate in on-call coverage as required, including weekend call from end of shift Friday through Monday morning
• Float across multiple campuses as needed to support staffing continuity

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Minimum 24 months of current operating room experience (hospital/medical center experience prioritized)
• Hands-on circulating experience in the operating room
• Demonstrated experience in General Surgery, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases
• Trauma Level II experience
• EPIC EMR experience within the previous 3 years
• Active BLS certification through AHA or ARC
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the previous 15 months (no first-time travelers)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience highly preferred
• Experience in Neurology, Orthopedics (trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, and ENT cases
• Trauma Level I experience
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
