Purpose of the role The Manager Supply Management coordinates the procurement strategies related to CAPEX, FM, MRO at the NAM region level, supporting HR, IST/IT, and professional services categories in NAM. The role supports goal achievement by securing supply, providing significant year‑on‑year cost improvements while meeting financial and budget targets. Responsibilities include implementing demand, productivity, and innovative improvements while maintaining product quality and managing vendor service levels, interacting with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective cost‑reduction strategies, and working collaboratively with Business Partnering, Sustainable Procurement, Center of Excellence, and Operational Procurement teams. Responsibilities Support/Coordinate the development and deployment of procurement strategies for assigned categories, aligning with priorities and performance goals while implementing strategic procurement efforts and innovation. Follow strategy implementation, tracking forecasted performance vs. actual savings and mitigating supply risk. Represent sourcing categories to Group stakeholders, communicating market trends and results, and working with finance to integrate savings into budgets and operating plans. Participate in supplier selection and monitoring, coordinating negotiation processes and managing the group's strategic suppliers. Lead regional/local sourcing strategies aligned with global category strategy and oversee sourcing events. Maintain expertise in category spend, staying updated on market trends and emerging supplier capabilities. Execute Group Sustainability Targets, integrating sustainable engineering into sourcing strategies. Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, contracts, and supplier quality and risk standards. Coordinate Category Strategy Planning, including mobilizing teams, collecting insights, prioritizing projects, and creating buying channel strategies. Skills & Competencies Technical / Functional Skills Strong understanding of procurement and strategic sourcing processes, including category management and supplier lifecycle management. Experience managing indirect spend categories such as CAPEX, MRO, Facilities Management, and/or Professional Services. Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, with exposure to plant operations and related stakeholders. Experience managing significant spend portfolios (e.g., ~€40M) across multiple categories. Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business and financial objectives. Solid negotiation and contract management skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings and value creation. Capability to analyze market trends, supplier landscapes, and cost structures. Experience in budget planning, cost tracking, and savings validation in collaboration with Finance. Familiarity with risk management and supply continuity strategies. Knowledge of sustainability practices in procurement is a plus.
