Description:

Prescreen and manager review required. Clinician must take and pass the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be disqualified for six months. Radius Rule: Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any related facility within the past year. Unit includes telemetry for cardiac and medical care. The total number of beds on the unit is 49 with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Charge nurses and house supervisors are present on the unit. Nurse aides work on this unit with a ratio of 1:10-15. The unit utilizes BiPap, CPAP, and provides breathing treatments. Shifts are scheduled from 7 AM to 7 PM. Self-scheduling is used but is finalized by management. Weekend requirement is two weekends per four-week schedule. Holiday requirements include working two days and the eve for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving. Floating to other areas is required, and qualified staff may float to different units. The dress code is navy blue. Charting system used is Cerner. Experience with Cerner is recommended as there is only a limited orientation period. RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign off at least once per shift. No titration of drips is required, but Diltiazem/Cardizem drips are taken at a set rate.
