Job Description Camp Coney Pine, in Rochester, NH is seeking Program Leaders for the summer 2026 season. Our camp is a traditional outdoor summer day camp that serves youth to build relationships, try new things, make memories, and ensure camper safety—all while having fun and acting as positive role models. Responsibilities Plan, implement, and lead a specialty program area effectively and safely. Supervise a fun and developmentally engaging environment and activities through appropriate techniques. Develop and enforce specialty activity and equipment use guidelines. Provide ongoing programming; support theme days and rainy days. Build positive nurturing relationships with campers. Build cooperative relationships with coworkers and supervisors. Engage with campers in a way that fosters character building. Uphold YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and courage. Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a day camp environment (preferred). Background and/or education in recreation/physical education (preferred). Applicable certifications for specialty area. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational and group management skills. Must be available to attend camp trainings before and throughout the camp season. Patient, caring, responsible, flexible, and positive attitude. Position Specifics Camp season runs from 06/22/26 through 08/28/26 and must be able to work most of the camp weeks. Year‑round employment opportunities are available with the YMCA.
