About the Role

This part-time HR Assistant role involves providing hands-on administrative support for day-to-day human resources activities. The position exists to support HR operations, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. The role contributes to the organization by maintaining organization and confidentiality in HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain basic HR forms, letters, and employee documentation.
• Schedule interviews and assist with candidate coordination.
• Support the onboarding process for new hires.
• Maintain accurate electronic employee files and documentation.
• Perform a high volume of electronic filing and administrative recordkeeping.
• Assist with employee timecards and related administrative tasks.
• Prepare and submit applications for trade licenses and license renewals.
• Learn and follow established procedures for licensing and other HR-related processes.
• Provide general administrative support to keep HR operations organized and running efficiently.
• Handle sensitive employee and company information with a high level of confidentiality.
• Assist with additional HR administrative projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous HR, administrative, recruiting, office, or related experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with electronic files, documents, and standard office technology.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently after initial training.
• Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

• 3-day-per-week position with flexibility.
• Preferred schedule: Monday, Wednesday or Thursday, and Friday.
• Position will begin as a 6-month contract with potential to extend or transition to full-time based on business needs and performance.
