Medical Office Receptionist Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic Full-Time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: 1300 West Terrell Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday This position follows a Rotating Schedule with 8/9 hour shifts 5 days a week, from 6:30am start to 5:15pm finish; including Friday rotating half days off Travel: 25% to satellite clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided) Works well with others in a fast-paced environment with 2 total clinics and over 3,500 monthly appointments Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic Highlights: Join an innovative team working towards making healthcare more accessible, integrated, and reliable Join our team members who have strong work ethic, positive attitudes, and support each other thru collaborative teamwork We pride ourselves in being compassionate and empathic to our patients Qualifications Here's What You Need High School Diploma or equivalent (required) One year Medical Office experience in a Clinic (strongly preferred) Medical Insurance experience (strongly preferred) Bilingual in English / Spanish (preferred) Six months Business Office Customer Service experience (preferred) Be an outgoing individual with a friendly attitude Have strong attention to detail Be able to multi-task front desk job responsibilities for a busy Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic Must have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills Have knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirements Have demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills Have organizational and time management skills Be proficient computer skills Have knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism Be a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist Process Under direct supervision, performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance. Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately. Schedules appointments according to office guideline. Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts. Copies/scans patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record. Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete. Conducts all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments. Performs duties involving record filing and retrieval and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records. Confirms next day appointments and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment. Follows up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and sends out the appropriate communications. Performs other duties as assigned.
