The newly expanded Derby City Gaming & Hotel was voted one of the “Best Places to Work in Greater Louisville” by Louisville Business First JOB SUMMARY The Beverage Server is responsible for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in an excellent and timely manner and to assure quality guest service and a favorable gaming experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for taking orders from guests and returning these orders in a timely manner. Keep wok area in a clean and orderly manner. Perform “responsible alcohol service” with regards to guest limitations and pass any/all responsible alcohol service training. Handling all transactions according to the cash handling policy. Be able to use all bar equipment and BERG Beverage System as needed. Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Maintaining positive and productive relationships among all Team Members and guests. Oral and written communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A high school diploma or GED equivalent 6 months of work experience in serving is preferred.
