Technical Trainer

A leading Aviation Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) organisation is seeking a Technical Trainer to develop and deliver technical training programmes for aviation maintenance personnel. This role combines classroom instruction, practical hands‑on training, competency assessment, and regulatory compliance support within a fast-paced FAA-regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver classroom, workshop, and hands‑on technical training. Develop, update, and maintain training materials and presentations. Prepare training environments, tools, and equipment. Conduct written and practical competency assessments. Monitor trainee progress and provide coaching and mentoring. Identify skill gaps and implement improvement plans. Maintain training records, certifications, and qualification documentation. Coordinate training schedules and training database management. Track employee certification and qualification requirements. Support internal and external audits through effective document control. Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams to improve training outcomes. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and industry standards. Travel to company and customer locations as required. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience developing and delivering technical training. Experience within an FAA-regulated aviation maintenance environment. Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, including Part 145 requirements. Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills. Experience using Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Ability to assess training effectiveness and adapt instructional methods. Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Willingness to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Previous Aviation MRO experience. Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS). Human Factors training experience. Familiarity with AS9110 quality standards. Experience with commercial aircraft engine maintenance, including CFM56 or similar turbine engines.
