Product Business Analyst

Nuveen is seeking an experienced Product Business Analyst to serve as the U.S.-based owner and representative for our Security Master platform, built on the GoldenSource MDM solution. This role is central to our Reference Data operating model, bridging U.S.-based business and technology stakeholders with our India-based engineering and delivery teams. The successful candidate will ensure security reference data needs are clearly understood, prioritized, and delivered, while contributing to program governance and cross-functional alignment across asset classes.Key Responsibilities and DutiesServe as the primary U.S. time-zone point of contact for the Security Master / GoldenSource platform, representing the Reference Data product across NTO and business stakeholder forums Act as the escalation point and decision-maker for time-sensitive data issues, requirements clarifications, and stakeholder queries originating from the U.S. business dayPartner with NTO teams, downstream consumers, and business units to translate data needs into actionable requirements for the Security Master platform Build and maintain working relationships with data consumers across trading, portfolio management, risk, and operations functions Own and maintain the product roadmap for Security Master capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and business priorities Drive delivery of features, enhancements, and data onboarding initiatives in partnership with India-based product and engineering teams Participate in PI (Program Increment) Planning, ensuring U.S. stakeholder priorities are represented in the broader delivery plan Collaborate with India-based Product Managers covering Private Assets and Public Assets to ensure consistency in requirements definition, prioritization frameworks, and delivery standards Elicit, clarify, and document functional and technical requirements from business and technology stakeholders Translate capital markets and security data concepts into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items for the engineering team Represent the Security Master / Reference Data platform in Steering Committee meetings and program governance forums Prepare and deliver status updates on delivery, risks, dependencies, and roadmap progress to senior leadership and business sponsors Maintain working knowledge of the GoldenSource platform architecture, data model, and workflows Provide functional guidance on data quality, data governance, and reference data best practices as applied to security master dataEducational RequirementsUniversity (Degree) PreferredWork Experience5+ Years Required; 7+ Years PreferredPhysical RequirementsPhysical Requirements: Sedentary WorkCareer Level 9PLRequired Skills:· 5+ years of experience in financial services, with direct exposure to reference data, security master, or enterprise data management functions· 5+ years of hands-on experience with GoldenSource, Bloomberg AIM, Markit EDM, or a comparable MDM platform· 5+ years of experience operating as a Product Owner or Product Manager within an Agile/SAFe delivery framework, including hands-on PI Planning and backlog grooming· 5+ years of experience working in a globally distributed delivery model, including direct collaboration with offshore India-based teams· Must have experience working with security identifiers (CUSIP, ISIN, SEDOL) across at least two asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives, private assets)Preferred Skills:· Experience specifically configuring or administering the GoldenSource platform (as opposed to general MDM platform experience)· Familiarity with private assets data (loans, private equity, real estate, direct lending)· Experience in asset management or insurance-affiliated investment management firms· Knowledge of upstream/downstream data flows to portfolio accounting, trading, and risk systemsRelated SkillsAcceptance Testing, Business Analysis, Business Process Improvement, Business Process Mapping, Business Process Understanding, Business Requirements, Collaboration, Data Analysis, IT Business Analysis, Systems Design/Analysis, Systems Development Life Cycle, Technical Documentation, Test PlanningAnticipated Posting End Date:2026-10-02Base Pay Range: $157,000/yr - $206,000/yrActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
