The RA focuses on small‑group tutoring, supervising projects, skill practice, digital learning, and administrative tasks. The RA also manages student behavior during transitions, lunch, recess, assemblies, and other unstructured activities, always within the guidance of the MCL. The RA may support multiple teams or a single team, offering tutoring in a lab, pulling small groups out of classrooms, or pushing into classrooms as needed. Terms of Employment 10 months, full benefits, 8 hr day, pay grade TA56. Position eligible for an additional $1,000 / yr stipend. Responsibilities Classroom and School Environment Hold students accountable for high expectations of behavior and engagement that are ambitious and measurable. Contribute to a culture of respect, enthusiasm, and rapport. Manage student behavior during transitions and less structured time (e.g., recess, lunch). Monitor independent work time in classroom while teachers provide instruction. Instruction Tutor small groups and individuals under the direction and using the tools/rubrics of supervising teachers. Supervise projects, skill practice, and digital learning. Professional Responsibilities Solicit and eagerly receive feedback from supervisor and team members to improve professional skills. Maintain administrative duties on behalf of teachers (e.g., attendance, entering grades, scheduling parent conferences, preparing activities and assignments, checking homework, additional paperwork). Collaborate with teachers, tutors, volunteers, and digital lab monitors, if applicable. Qualifications Previous experience working with children. Bachelor’s degree a plus, but not required. Demonstrated effectiveness working with people who have differing cultural backgrounds and/or personal characteristics, including race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or economic differences. Reports To Principal or designated teacher. Hours 5 days a week throughout the school year. 8 hours a day. Attend team planning and data meetings whenever possible. Additional Notes The Reach Associate position is a dual role and requires completion of the CDL bus license program within one year of employment. Position Type Full‑Time.
