Share your resume with us today!Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Radar Analysis IPT Lead to execute and lead radar performance modeling and analysis activities for an advanced radar system. This role is not purely managerial — the selected candidate will directly perform detailed radar performance analysis while guiding a small team of analysts. The IPT Lead will leverage and adapt existing radar modeling and simulation toolsets developed on prior programs to assess detection, tracking, and system-level performance in realistic operational environments. The role requires deep understanding of radar physics, signal processing impacts, and practical performance verification methods.Primary ResponsibilitiesHands-On Radar Performance AnalysisDirectly execute radar performance modeling using established tool suites (MATLAB, Python-based frameworks, C++ models, etc.)Adapt legacy radar performance tools to current system architecture and requirementsTool Adaptation & ValidationAssess applicability of previously developed radar performance models to current designModify and extend modeling frameworks to reflect:Updated RF architecturesAntenna/beamforming differencesProcessing chain updatesSignal Processing & Tracking PerformanceAnalyze detection performance (CFAR variants, threshold selection)Evaluate tracking filter performance (e.g., Kalman-based estimators)Assess dwell time, PRF selection, waveform tradeoffs, and coherent integration impactsIdentify algorithm sensitivities that drive system-level performance riskTechnical LeadershipLead a small radar analysis team while remaining the primary technical contributorReview and approve analysis products and technical reportsPresent quantitative performance assessments to program leadership and customersProvide clear, data-driven recommendations to influence system design decisionsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school with a strong demonstration of the skills listed below will also be considered plus 4-8 years of experience in hands-on radar performance analysis. Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience in hands-on radar performance analysis or PHD with 1-4 years of prior relevant experience in hands-on radar performance analysis.Proficiency in MATLAB for radar performance modeling.Must have good communication skills for working in a highly collaborative lab environment and interfacing with customers.US Citizen and possess and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.Be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.Preferred QualificationsCandidate with additional skills in the following is preferred, but not required:Experience transitioning analysis tools between programsFamiliarity with hardware performance drivers (noise figure, linearity, antenna gain patterns)Experience correlating simulation results with flight or range test dataIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
