Position Overview Serenity Behavioral Health Services offers master's level Clinical Outpatient Therapist Intern positions for 2026-2027, available through college placement. Space is limited. Qualifications Must be enrolled in a master's level program and meet Ohio Department of Mental Health and Ohio CSWMFT Board requirements. Basic understanding of clinical counseling components: diagnosis of mental health symptoms, rapport building, clinically accurate notes, and treatment plan goal setting. Effective communication and strong organizational and computer skills. Certificates & Training Must apply for and maintain a State License as a Licensed Social Worker or Clinical Social Worker Trainee and receive the license before starting client work. Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation required. Duties & Responsibilities Provide weekly psychotherapy sessions – individual and family counseling – in accordance with each client’s treatment plan, ensuring complete documentation in the EMR. Complete mental‑health assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and termination documents; collect required co‑pays. Communicate effectively with clients, agency staff, and other service providers. Manage client intake, greet clients, report equipment issues or supply needs. Maintain confidentiality, only disclose information with signed written release. Conduct oneself professionally as a member of the inter‑agency team and representative of Serenity Behavioral Health Services, adhering to agency policies.
