Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing services in a Neuro ICU/SICU setting for adult patients. Responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring neurological and trauma patients, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for ICU patients with neurological and trauma conditions.
• Monitor patient vital signs, neurological status, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and facilitate transfers or discharges.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of ICU experience, specifically within trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU units.
• Demonstrate competency in managing trauma Level One patients and neurological emergencies.
• Have Epic EMR experience.
• Be able to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Possess strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Be willing to work in a travel capacity, adhering to facility dress code and policies.
