Logistics Management Specialist

Duties

The duties may include, but are not limited to:

Respond to inquiries or requests for technical assistance from other agencies, states or local governments, emergency responders, etc.
Provides technical advice in logistics management planning and operations, investigating and analyzing problem areas that have been particularly resistant to satisfactory resolution.
Collaborates with vendors and/or manufacturers and coordinates with the contracting officer to reach acceptable purchase agreements, directing storage activities.
Provides expertise used in developing best practices that result in inventory accountability, reconciliation, and financial reporting; assist the technical authority on logistics-related issues.
Assists States, Tribes, and Territories, plan, train, and exercise for the rapid request, receipt, processing, and distribution of supplies and equipment during an event.
