Patient Care Coordinator

Location: 2800 Marcus Ave, Suite 102, Lake Success, NY 11042
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours/week
Shift: 7.5-hour shift between 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (schedule determined upon hire)
Contract: Contract position through January 8, 2027

Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to provide excellent patient service and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role will assist patients throughout the check-in, appointment, and check-out process while supporting providers and clinical staff with daily administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients and verify demographic information

• Verify insurance cards, eligibility, and benefits

• Obtain referrals when required

• Schedule appointments and follow-up visits

• Collect patient payments

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling

• Send messages to providers and clinical staff

• Process faxes and maintain accurate documentation

• Clear and manage work queues

• Provide administrative support to multiple providers and staff as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong patient service and communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to support multiple providers and manage competing priorities

• Previous healthcare, medical office, or patient-facing experience preferred
