What You'll Bring:

• Valid Texas medical license or IMLC with active License of Qualifications (LOQ)
• Board certification in Cardiovascular Surgery
• Clean malpractice and licensing history
• Proven experience in full-scope cardiovascular surgery, including vein harvesting
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities

Preferred Extras:

• Experience with Cerner McKesson Cardiology EMR and hospital EMR systems (Paragon & CHS)
• Prior experience in inpatient surgical settings and elective case management
• Willingness to work a 24-hour call schedule, including holidays and weekends

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2+ years of CV surgery experience post-training
• Active Texas medical license or IMLC with LOQ ready for prompt privileges issuance

Additional Details:

• Facilities include St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital, Woodland Heights Medical Center, and The Heart Institute of East Texas
• Primarily inpatient surgical coverage for emergency and referred elective cases
• Open to a flexible schedule with ongoing coverage from May 29, 2026, until further notice
• Credentialing process expedited and support provided for licensure, billing enrollment, and travel reimbursements
