Senior Stakeholder Affairs Officer Full Time Senior Management Los Angeles, CA, US 1 Attachments 6 days ago Requisition ID: 1178 Senior Stakeholder Affairs Officer Starting salary range: $138,000-$144,000/Annually Biweekly $5,307.69-$5,538.46 This is an in-office position Requires in-office work five (5) days per week. ***CCF IS A MANDATORY COVID-19 VACCINATION EMPLOYER*** About the Role The Senior Stakeholder Affairs Officer is a strategic leadership role within the Office of the President, responsible for overseeing Board administration, governance coordination, and executive-level stakeholder affairs. Reporting to the Vice President, Executive Administration & Stakeholder Affairs, this position serves as the operational lead for the Foundation's governance processes while supporting executive priorities and high-level stakeholder engagement. The role collaborates closely with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, General Counsel, and cross-functional teams to ensure governance excellence, organizational accountability, and the successful execution of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, relationship-focused professional who exercises sound judgment, maintains strict confidentiality, and excels in managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree, paralegal training, or a governance credential (such as Certified Governance Professional) preferred. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in Board administration, corporate governance, executive operations, or a related field. Direct experience supporting a Board of Directors and Board Committees; nonprofit, foundation, or philanthropic sector experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of nonprofit governance practices, including bylaws, Board procedures, committee structures, resolutions, records management, and corporate compliance. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain governance calendars, and meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing Board agendas, minutes, resolutions, briefing materials, and executive correspondence. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Board governance platforms (such as Diligent or BoardEffect) and document management systems. Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across executive leadership and cross-functional teams while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Knowledge of the Los Angeles County nonprofit community, government agencies, elected officials, and civic leadership is highly desirable. Valid California driver's license and the ability to travel locally for meetings and events as needed (less than 10% travel) Responsibilities Lead the administration and coordination of the Foundation's Board of Directors and Board Committees. Plan, organize, and coordinate Board meetings, committee meetings, executive sessions, and governance-related activities. Prepare, review, distribute, and maintain Board agendas, meeting materials, resolutions, minutes, and official governance records. Maintain the annual governance calendar and track Board actions, committee assignments, governance deadlines, and organizational commitments. Partner with executive leadership and General Counsel to ensure governance compliance and the timely completion of Board-related initiatives. Coordinate Board member onboarding, orientation, and ongoing governance resources. Support stakeholder affairs initiatives through research, project management, relationship coordination, and executive support. Prepare executive briefings, reports, presentations, correspondence, and background materials for leadership and stakeholder engagements. Coordinate cross-functional projects by monitoring deliverables, timelines, and follow-up actions to ensure successful execution of executive priorities. Identify opportunities to improve governance processes and operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and organizational integrity. Lead special projects and perform other duties as assigned in support of the Office of the President and organizational objectives. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Strong knowledge of nonprofit Board governance practices, including bylaws, committee structures, meeting procedures, records management, resolutions, and corporate compliance. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Board governance platforms (e.g., Diligent, BoardEffect) and document management systems. Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain governance calendars, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience preparing Board materials, executive correspondence, reports, and presentations. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information. Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with executive leadership, Board members, internal departments, and external stakeholders. Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage complex initiatives, and successfully execute strategic priorities. Knowledge of the Los Angeles County nonprofit community, government agencies, elected officials, civic leadership, and institutional stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a high-performing team. After one year of service, all full-time employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement of up to $15,000 for higher education. CCF also offers a student loan repayment program of $100/month for all full-time employees after one year of service.
