Overview Our client is seeking experienced Senior Estimators to join a growing preconstruction team as the organization expands its portfolio of larger and more complex vertical construction projects across Florida. This is a high‑impact role for individuals who can lead estimating efforts from early conceptual budgeting through GMP development, while actively contributing to pursuit strategy and design‑phase cost optimization. This position is best suited for professionals who can operate confidently across all preconstruction phases and play a key role in shaping project success through accurate estimating, strong collaboration, and strategic cost insight. What You Will Do: Lead the preparation of conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction document estimates for complex vertical projects Develop detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing narratives, scope clarifications, allowances, alternates, and risk assessments Solicit, level, and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing while maintaining and strengthening trade partner relationships Provide ongoing cost input during design development, procurement strategy, long‑lead planning, and GMP preparation Clearly present estimating logic to internal teams and leadership, contributing to the development and improvement of preconstruction systems What We’re Looking For: Strong estimating or preconstruction experience with a reputable GC or CM specializing in vertical construction Proven ability to manage both conceptual budgeting and detailed, document‑based estimating across multifamily, mixed‑use, hospitality, commercial, or similar project types Strong technical discipline in takeoffs, scope leveling, estimate validation, and pricing analysis Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, and standard estimating platforms and tools Strong judgment with the ability to critically evaluate assumptions and ensure pricing accuracy under real project conditions This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex estimating work while playing a key role in shaping preconstruction strategy on high‑value projects.
