Branch Manager

Responsible for managing the retail operations at the main office or branch office in the absence of the Branch Manager according to Bank policy and for developing new business. Must be able to complete all tasks associated with Teller II, Vault Teller and Head Teller.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining customer and employee relationships
• Opening and closing the branch; maintaining and staying abreast of security policies and procedures
• Supervising vault operations and procedures; including required entry logs
• Opening night depository and recording contents
• Handling customer problems and complaints; counseling customers with special needs or requests
• Enforcing bank policies at the Branch Office
• Assisting with maintaining office building, grounds, equipment and fixtures
• Assisting with the preparation and distribution of monthly branch reports to appropriate bank management
• Evaluating the branch operations and making recommendations to management
• Maintaining harmony among workers and resolving grievances or referring problems to supervisor
• Providing ongoing training of tellers in customer service and banking procedures to improve efficiency
• Assisting with the safety program at the Branch
• Opening, closing and servicing every type of account
• Promoting the financial institution services and products to current and/or potential customers
• Testing branch security equipment and investigating security issues when needed
• Representing the financial institution in community social events
• Providing coaching and/or counseling with employees when needed with the assistance of the Branch Manager
• Coordinating staff training when needed, including quarterly on-line training
• Performing all the duties and responsibilities of teller as needed
• Serving as a Notary Public for the Branch Office
