Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Miami, Florida. This position involves providing specialized perioperative patient care within a busy operating room environment. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure safety and efficiency during various surgical procedures, including joint replacements, ENT, spine, urology, and more. Job Details Required Qualifications: Candidates must have American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications, at least 2 years of current experience in an acute operating room setting, with expertise in orthopedics, spine, and joint replacement procedures. Experience with knee and hip replacements is preferred. Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include observing, assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care throughout surgical procedures. Candidates must be able to scrub and be familiar with all service lines, including joint replacements, ENT, spine, urology, vascular, thoracic, and plastic surgery. Must possess a dedicated, reliable personality with excellent bedside manner, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in charting. Additional preferred qualifications include PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room), and charge nurse experience. Rotating weekends and four on-call shifts per four-week period are required, including two weekday night calls, two weekend 24-hour calls, and one holiday 24-hour call if applicable.
