Software Engineer, iOS (All Teams)

About the Role DoorDash is building the world's most reliable on-demand, logistics engine for delivery. We are growing rapidly and expanding our Engineering offices globally. We are looking for iOS Engineers to build and maintain a large‑scale 24x7 global infrastructure system that powers DoorDash's 3‑sided marketplace of Consumers, Merchants, and Dashers. We’re looking for iOS Engineers who want to work on building an app that’s used by millions of people and critical to local entrepreneurs building their online presence. This hybrid role includes some in‑office time and reports to an Engineering Manager. Responsibilities Work within our engineering teams to build exciting features. Improve our code base through continuous refactoring. Solve challenging real‑time data transfer and synchronization problems. Extend and implement our APIs. Implement unit tests. Keep up‑to‑date with industry standards of iOS development. Qualifications B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent. Expertise in Swift and the iOS SDK. Familiarity with networking, storage, and CocoaPods. Strong systems and OOP knowledge. Experience building, launching, and iterating on mobile apps. Compensation The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g., about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g., about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
